Bahkan anggota Lingkar Pena sudah banyak beralih profesi menjadi penulis seperti Noor H. Dee yang tadinya adalah juru masak alias koki. Rasa bangga terlihat jelas pada Noor yang telah bisa menerbitkan bukunya.
Selain membina penulis muda, Lingkar Pena juga membuat publishing house untuk menerbitkan buku-buku karya anggotanya. Forum ini juga mendirikan Rumah Cahaya kependekan dari Rumah Baca Menghasilkan Karya untuk menumbuhkan minat baca terutama pada anak-anak.
